Pad Thai Kang Kang

1 pkt (420gm) Kangkang Ipoh Hor Fun Noodles
4 cloves chopped garlic
1 large egg
5 peeled prawns
50gm sliced fried fish cake
3 stalks kuchai
1 handful tauge
2 tablespoons peanut oil


3 tablespoons fish sauce
3 tablespoons gula melaka
3 tablespoons tamarind water
1 teaspoon lime juice


lime wedges
chili flakes
roasted peanuts
roasted krills (udang geragao)
kuchai stalks


  • Heat up and mix thoroughly the ingredients for pad thai sauce until gula melaka dissolves. Set aside.
  • Heat up oil in a wok and crack egg, scrambled and then saute chopped garlic with prawns and fish cakes. Mix thoroughly.
  • Add in Kangkang Ipoh Hor Fun and wok hei.
  • Add in Pad Thai sauce to desired taste and top with tauge and kuchai.
  • Give it a good mix and wok hei as needed.
  • Dish out and garnish.
