5 Restaurants in Singapore That You Can Go To For Your Supper Needs

Singapore, although being very small, has a huge appetite for good food. And the best part of it is that most of the hotspots are open 24 hours. For us Muslims, during our Ramadhan period, we are required to fast from dawn till dusk. As much as how we like to emulate the older generation by cooking for the whole family to eat for the daily Sahur, the younger generation (both you and I), we pretty much settled on buying food either on GrabFood or Foodpanda. Heh!

Kampong Glam Cafe

Kampong Glam Café is known for their cheap food and beautiful atmosphere. It serves a beacon for the younger generation and has always been kept busy with the abundance amount of customers! Another plus point to KGC is that they close really late which is optimal for people who like to munch on food really late into the night. KGC is a place I am guilty of always going.

Nur Fayidha Restaurant

Fayidha is also another popular spot in Bugis area that is populated with the younger generation! Though the service is questionable, I still think they serve good food. Although they offer local cuisine, personally I am a fan of their Western cuisine, particularly their cheese fries. Most, if not all, fast food restaurant’s cheese fries are very soggy and forgets that ‘crispy’ feature. I feel like I only know a few restaurants that has that and Fayidha is one of them.

Al-Salam Restaurant

One night, Chef Bob and I had just finished prawning together and were looking for places to eat. Usually, it is easy to find but due to Covid-19’s restrictions, there a fewer restaurants open at 2am. I suggested to Chef Bob and was surprised that he didn’t know this restaurant existed. Initially, we thought that the flavor of the food was meh till we found ourselves having difficulty stopping our forks. Al-Salam is the epitome of “Never judge a book by its cover.”

Al-Ameen Restaurant

During my Polytechnic years, my friends and I often venture out of school to go to Al-Ameen since it is in close proximity. I can safely say that everyone that schools at Republic Polytechnic has at least once eaten at Al-Ameen. Al-Ameen to RP students is like light to moths, we can’t stop ourselves from making it our hang out spots. No cap but the teh tarik that is served at Al-Ameen is immaculate.

RK Eating House

Chef Bob has a lot of experience and also speaks highly of them too. But, Chef Bob isn’t writing this blogpost! Hahaha. So, I shall talk about MY OWN experience at RK. After hiking at MacRitchie Reservoir, my friends and I headed to RK to munch on some light food and hang out. I naturally ordered the Prata Bomb since it was very light. After the first bite, I knew immediately that I was going to sweep this plate clean. It’s so good and talking about it right now has made me crave for it. I hope the same for you too!

With that, enjoy your late night rides with the homies and wish your vibe forever be immaculate.
