Same time this year, this wouldn’t have been possible with the circuit breaker in place in Singapore. Fast forward to a year later, Singapore managed to slowly overcome the pandemic (still managing) and have started Phase 3 about a month ago. And hey, Alhamdulillah, now we can at least have iftar together with a maximum of 8 people per group (which is not a bad thing!). Just be responsible, people!

So, here at ChefBob.sg, we are scurrying over to find out which buffet restaurants are able to cater to our requests of having iftar this upcoming Ramadhan.

1. Straits Kitchen at Grand Hyatt Singapore

You know what they say, “Go big or go home!” Going to Straits Kitchen is LITERALLY going all out because you can feast upon ALL of the local cuisines! Might as well, since you are going to be at a buffet, right? And if you are a true buffet connoisseur , you’d understand how big of a deal it is to have more choices.

Type of Food: Local Cuisine
Cost per pax: $69 (Adult) $37 (Children)
Reservations: Online Booking
Exact Location: 10 Scotts Rd, Grand Hyatt Singapore Lobby Level, Singapore 228211

2. Asian Market Cafe at Fairmont Singapore

Out of all my recommendations, this is by far THE most family-friendly iftar buffet you can get. Asian Market Cafe adopts the Malay culture of makan hidang or using a dulang. This creates conversation and resulting a bond between families which is also a side effect from Ramadhan. It’s a beautiful sight to Muslims gathering and breaking their fast and this location supports that exact cause.

Type of Food: Local Cuisine
Cost per pax: $78 (Adult) $39 (Children)
Reservations: Online Booking, Call and Email
Exact Location: Level 2, Fairmont Singapore, 80 Bras Basah Rd, Singapore 189560

3. Buffet Town at Raffles City

If you have a strong preference for seafood cuisine, Buffet Town is the popular choice. Since it’s Ramadhan, prepare for chaotic family iftars. Buffet Town is the best place to meet your families (while practicing social distancing, of course) and dive into the world of seafood. Of course they don’t only offer seafood, they also offer sushi and sashimi, Japanese Teppan and Robatayaki.

Type of Food: Asian and Western Cuisine
Cost per pax: $26.80 (Adult) $18.80 (Children)
Reservations: Online Booking
Exact Location: 252 North Bridge Rd, Raffles City #B1-44E, Singapore

4. Atrium Restaurant at Holiday Inn

Drown in the magnificent world of seafood, the freshest selection can be found at the Asian Market Café and since it IS an Asian buffet, you can expect to dip the most savory kinds of seafood with your local variety of sambal. Just imagine all of that flavors bursting in your mouth right now! Making it more difficult to fast seh! Hahahaha.

Type of Food: Mix of Local and International Cuisine
Cost per pax: $88 (Adult) $25 (Child)
Reservations: Book online or Call
Exact Location: Holiday Inn Singapore Atrium Level 4, 317 Outram Rd, Singapore 169075

5. The Landmark at Village Hotel Bugis

Hey guys, it’s not a chefbob.sg blogpost if I don’t talk about Chef Bob, right? Hahahah! Yes, this buffet at Landmark is where THE Chef Bob is an ambassador of. BUT, putting that fact aside, it’s really a nice place to dine with your families, especially if you like the cuisines listed below. The quality of the food is really superb and savory which makes it my personal favorite to break my fast at.

Type of Food: Asian, Western, Indian, Arabic and Mediterranean Cuisine
Cost per pax: $41.20 (Adult) $17.66 (Children)
Reservations: Online Booking
Exact Location: #05-01 Village Hotel Bugis, 390 Victoria St, Singapore 188061
